I will tell my experience with OEM Orange5 Programming Device in this blog. I sincerely hope that it can help people who plan to purchase it. I was trying to find mcu or eeprom on VW transporter with siemens ecu unit. My friend suggested me to try the new device OEM Orange5.

Under his advice, I bought the OEM Orange5 online. With 3 days delivery, I received a carton package with an Orange5 programmer tool, a power adapter, a USB cable, ten incircuit wires and a lot of adapters inside.

When I used the device, there was something wrong with my operation steps. When I opened the software in file "OEM Orange5", no matter what groups or chips I chose, the below images still appeared.

I didn't know how to solve this problem, so I asked the engineer for help about the issues. He told me that I should move the Orange5 V1.34 software from Orange5 Disk:E to the computer first. Besides, she offered me a video about Orange5 V1.34 software installation guide. With his help, the wrong images had never appeared again.

Although I met some problems during my operation, I was still pleased with OEM Orange5 V1.34 Programming Device. The reasons are its full package hardware, enhanced version software and professional programming functions.

Orange5 is a professional programming device for memory and microcontrollers.
Many users of OEM Orange5 eeprom programmer failed to install driver and pass hardware test. Here is how to install OEM Orange 5 V1.34 software?

Now follow me step by step below:

1.You should install Orange5 driver.
Note:Disable local and wireless network connection.

a.You need to open Orange5 software CD, then copy copy Orange5 V1.34 folder to your desktop.
b.You should connect Orange5 USB programmer with your computer, next select "install from a list or specific location(Advanced)".

c.You need to browse and save file to C:/Documents and Setting/Administrator/Desktop/orange5v1.34/Driver and click "Next".
d.If the system prompts "Cannot Star this Hardware", you should press "Finish" to continue.

e.You should open My Computer-Manager-Device Manager,and unplug Orange 5 USB cable then replug. You will see the driver is working well.

2.You should run Orange5 Self test.
a.You should open Orange 5 V1.34 folder on desktop and Orange 5 setup.

b.You need to select Options tab-Programmer Options,Press "Test".

c.Orange5 Self test passes and the hardware is OK.

3.You need to read and write EEPROM.
a.You should select ECU configiration EEPROM and Group and Chip. Then press "OK".

b.You need to select read icon(Note:select the correct chip) and read chip date complete.

c.You should save date and click write icon. Then write chip(i.e 93LC66).

d.You need to save date and open date just read. Then click write icon and re-write 93LC66 to chip.
